Fix common problems
A session shows twice, the Sync button is missing, the trainer won’t connect, and more.

Each problem below says what you see, why it happens and what to do. If yours isn’t here, the last section says what to send us.
Finding your way
- I can’t find the Training page. It is called Activities now: every session you have, newest first, with search and sport filters. Your totals and your training load over time are on Trends, which has its own button at the top of Activities.
- Form opens on Overview. Overview is the home page, and the Form logo and Overview in the sidebar both lead there. An old link to /dashboard opens it too. The coach is under Coach.
- On a phone-width browser there is no sidebar. Overview, Activities, Coach, Calendar and Workouts run along the bottom of the screen, and More holds the rest: Profile, Check-in, Trends, Friends, Races, Courses and Help.
Signing in and getting started
- “Form is invite only.” You opened the register page without a valid invite link, or the link is invalid, expired or already used. There is no public sign-up during the beta. Ask for a new invite at info@formendurance.com.
- “Use the email address this beta invite was sent to.” Register with the address the invite arrived at, not another one.
- The reset email doesn’t arrive. Use Forgot your password on the sign-in page with the same address you registered with. Give it a few minutes and check junk mail. If nothing arrives, email info@formendurance.com. Signed in already? Change your password under Profile → Security instead.
- You keep landing on setup. Form sends you back to setup until you finish it or press Skip setup. Your saved answers are all still there.
- A step won’t continue in setup. A field on that step has a message under it. Fix the value and press Continue.
Garmin
- The Connect Garmin button is grey. Tick the consent box above it. Garmin’s agreement requires your explicit consent to AI processing, and the server refuses to connect without it.
- Garmin sends me back with “Garmin wasn’t connected.” You denied the approval or closed the page. Start again from Connect Garmin.
- “That Garmin link expired.” Approval has to be finished within 10 minutes. Start again.
- “That Garmin account is already connected to another Form account.” Disconnect it from the other account first.
- Connected, but “Waiting for your first session”. Garmin only sends sessions from the day you connect, and only after your watch syncs. Open the Garmin Connect app to sync, then wait a minute or two. Setup re-checks every 10 seconds for up to 15 minutes. After that it says “Nothing yet. It arrives after your next workout and sync; carry on with setup.” and the session shows up when it arrives.
- “Garmin isn’t sharing your activities with Form.” The activities permission is off. Turn activities on for Form in Garmin Connect, or disconnect and connect again with Activities ticked.
- A session is missing. Sync your watch first. A session arrives in Form a minute or two after Garmin Connect has it. If you disconnected and reconnected, sessions from the gap are not sent, because Garmin only sends data from the day you connect. Bring them in from your Garmin export (see “Bring in your Garmin history”; the link is on the Garmin card in Profile → Connected data), or upload them as files.
- A session has no graphs yet. The summary arrives first and the recording file follows. Form retries the file for about six hours. If it never comes, the summary still counts, and you can upload the file yourself.
- A session seems to have no load. If the file has none, Form works one out from power or heart rate and marks the heart-rate version as an estimate. Without a threshold in your profile it may stay unscored. Set your thresholds in Profile.
- Plans or workouts are not on my watch. Approve the plan first. Then check Garmin Connect has workout import allowed for Form: refusals read “Allow workout import for Form in Garmin Connect”. Sync the watch. A long plan is sent in batches, so the plan card can say “Sending to Garmin” for a few minutes. Only today onward is sent.
- An open-water swim in my plan shows as a timed workout. Garmin has no open-water swim workout. Read it beforehand and start Open Water Swim on the watch as usual.
Intervals.icu
- “We couldn’t validate that Intervals key.” The key is wrong or was revoked. Copy it again from Intervals.icu → Settings → Developer Settings. Your previous key, if any, is kept.
- “Garmin is your training source. Disconnect Garmin in your profile to use Intervals.icu instead.” You can only have one source. Disconnect Garmin first.
- There is no Sync button. Sync training data (on Activities) and Sync (in the Coach) appear only while Intervals.icu is your source. A Garmin athlete has neither, because Garmin pushes new sessions to Form.
- Sync says “Intervals.icu is unreachable right now.” Your connection stays saved. Try again in a moment. Form also refreshes you overnight.
- I can’t delete a session. A session synced from Intervals.icu would come back on the next sync. Delete it in Intervals.icu.
Sessions and uploads
- A session shows twice. When two copies of the same sport start within 10 minutes of each other, Form keeps one. If your phone and your Garmin both recorded a run or ride, Garmin’s recording is kept and replaces the phone’s. A trainer ride recorded in Form is kept over any other copy. A copy synced from Intervals.icu gives way to a recording made in Form, on the phone or the trainer. A hand upload of a session you already have is refused (see the next answer). If you still see a double, send us the date and sport.
- “You already have “…” from … at that time.” Upload refused because Form already has that session from a connected source. Press Upload anyway only if it is really a different session.
- “Choose a .fit file.” or “That file is not a readable .fit activity.” Only .fit, .gz and Garmin’s Export Original .zip are accepted, up to 25 MB. Export the file again from the device.
- “That .zip holds N files.” Upload one session at a time. In Garmin Connect, open the activity and choose Export Original.
- My .zip is greyed out in the file picker on Activities. Upload .fit there takes .fit and .gz files. Drop the .zip on setup step 2, or unzip it and choose the .fit inside.
- My triathlon is five sessions. Each leg is its own session so each scores for its sport. Activities lists the race as one row, and each leg’s page has a strip at the top with the race totals and a link to every leg.
- A session has “from heart rate” under its load. That load is an estimate from your heart rate against threshold, used when the file has no power, pace or load of its own.
The coach
- The reply is taking a while. Replies are queued and show their progress while Form looks up your data. A long plan takes longer. Stay on the page, or come back to the chat.
- “The coach is temporarily unavailable. Try again in a moment.” The reply failed. Your question stays in the chat. Send it again. If it repeats, tell us the time.
- “The coach did not return a complete answer. Try again.” Same: send it again.
- “Your token usage has run out for this month. It refreshes on 1 …” Each athlete has a monthly allowance. It resets on the first of the month.
- “Record a session in Form or connect Intervals.icu before asking the coach.” The coach has nothing of yours to read yet. Connect Garmin, upload a .fit file or record a session first. A Garmin athlete may need to wait for the first sync.
- “Form could not load the full attached session from Intervals.icu, so it was not sent to the coach.” Try again in a moment.
- The coach says my Garmin history is short. For 42 days after you connect, it is told that a short history may mean missing data, not rest. Bring in your older sessions from your Garmin export (see “Bring in your Garmin history”), or upload them as files.
- “Turn on memory?” You asked the coach to remember something while memory is off. Agree, or turn memory on in Profile → Memory.
- The coach answered generally and didn’t use a session. Attach it with @ in the message box so the coach reads its splits.
- A plan draft arrived shorter than expected, or in pieces. Long plans are written in chunks, and Form re-asks for any workout it refused so you don’t see the repair. A season is written one block at a time and the next block comes at its review.
- Plans are drafts. A plan reaches your calendar only after you press Approve & send on the plan card.
Calendar, plans and workouts
- My plan isn’t on my watch. Approve it first. With Garmin it is sent in the background. With Intervals.icu it goes to your Intervals.icu calendar, and the device picks it up from there on its next sync.
- Intervals.icu refuses a publish with “Check that the connected key can write to your calendar”. Use a key that can write to your calendar.
- A move or delete didn’t show on the watch. Garmin changes are sent in the background. If Garmin refused, the panel says so and moving the workout again sends it again.
- I changed a session in the calendar. Each save sends the whole plan again to Garmin or Intervals.icu.
The trainer
- “Bluetooth needs Chrome or Edge.” Web Bluetooth only works in Chrome or Edge on a laptop or desktop. In another browser the Trainer tile says so, with “Use Chrome or Edge for Bluetooth. Open Form there to connect your trainer.”
- It doesn’t find the trainer. Turn Bluetooth on, wake the trainer by pedalling, and close any other app connected to it. Most trainers connect to one app at a time.
- It connects but doesn’t set resistance. A trainer without resistance control still works. Form shows the target for you to hold.
- The phone bike computer won’t pair. Scan the QR code on the trainer screen again. A code expires, and an expired one says “This computer link expired. Scan a new QR code.” instead of showing the computer.
- The course stays on “Loading 3D view”. The badge shows each step (Building the sky, Placing the scenery, Bringing your rider, Preparing materials). If it says “3D view unavailable”, press Retry. If it sits on Preparing materials for minutes and the page stops responding, switch on graphics (hardware) acceleration in your browser’s System settings and reload. A course you have downloaded from its card opens faster.
Account and phone
- The phone and the web show different data. Both read the same account. Pull to refresh on the phone, or use Sync on the web if you use Intervals.icu.
- I want my data deleted. See Your data: what Form keeps.

Common questions
- Why is there no Sync button?
- The Sync button is for Intervals.icu athletes. Garmin pushes new sessions to Form after your watch syncs, so there is nothing to press.
- Is my data lost if I disconnect something?
- Disconnecting Garmin deletes what Garmin sent. Disconnecting Intervals.icu or Strava does not delete sessions already in Form. See Your data: what Form keeps.
